Coronavirus and Support from Wilklow & Associates, CPA PC
With our country at a point where social distancing is now our new normal, we wanted to reach out and let you know how you can expect support from us at Wilklow & Associates, CPA PC
First, we are set up to work with any client remotely. We have the portal where you may upload any of your accounting and tax documents. If you have not used the portal, please reach out to our front desk and they will get you set up to use it.
Second, you may sign your tax returns via the portal as well. If you would like a hard copy of your tax return, we can print it and hold it for you to pick up at a later date. Please let us know what you would prefer by contacting the CPA that prepares your tax return or through our front desk.
Third, we are more than willing to meet with you but out of caution, will not handshake or hug. In addition, we have moved to paper cups for coffee and are wiping down surfaces after each visit. For our tax clients, we typically only see you once a year and are disappointed we can’t be more social but we want to do our part to stop the spread of the virus. We will have an open house in the fall at a time when we are past this issue and can be social.
Finally, we will keep you informed as to any changes with tax filing deadlines if you have not already filed your return with us. We will automatically extend returns at the end of the month for personal returns and have filed extensions for business returns that have not yet been completed. Our promise to you is to keep you compliant. We are working to keep our environment safe and our staff safe. Due to schools shutting down and some other circumstances, some of our staff will be working remotely or will be taking time off. We are facing some of the same hurdles you are and again, commit to communicate with you timely.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly or to the CPA or accountant you work with for your tax returns or other services. We look forward to the time we can get back to the old “normal”. Blessings to you and your families as you navigate through this time.
